I met with Dr. Barthel for the first meeting, and he was very professional, knowledgeable, caring, attentive, and supportive. Honestly I was worried that I would be judged (even if it’s subtle) and treated with negative bias but I truly did not feel any judgement from him. I felt that I can trust his guidance and treatment.
I am grateful to have found this clinic and doctor, and I highly recommend Dr. Barthel and his clinic!

I have been working in the field of substance abuse and mental health for over thirty years. I have never worked with such a dedicated team in my professional career. I refer to NorthShore as a hidden gem. To be able to refer patients and have the ability to collaborate with the team is an incredible experience. I often tell patients and families working with them is that it is the best investment they will ever make.
